The Sofitel Pall Mall was the first flagship 5-star Accor Sofitel to be built in London. Designed for developer Marylebone Warwick Balfour, the 186-bedroom hotel has been sensitively inserted into a Grade II listed 1924 building, originally designed by Sir William Emerson for the private bank Cox & Co as its headquarters.
The project involved major structural reconfiguration of the bank building, working in consultaion with English Heritage, and its façade has been thoroughly cleaned to present a crisp elegant presence on Pall Mall.
