As part of the commission to design a world class corporate headquarters for the Royal Bank of Scotland, RHWL — together with Michael Laird Architects — designed a Conference Centre on the same site, at Gogarburn near Edinburgh.

The 3,000 sq m Conference Centre has three main components. It houses a 300 seat auditorium, training and meeting rooms, and the RBS TV studios. They share catering facilities and a large exhibition space.

Surrounded by trees and with a wide expanse of lawn to the south, the Conference Centre is the principal venue at Gogarburn for RBS social functions, lectures, product launches and corporate seminars.
