Regent Quarter is P&O Developments' regeneration scheme for four city blocks to the east of London's Kings Cross station. We developed the masterplan for the 30,000 sq m project, which provides a mix of homes, offices, shops, bars and restaurants, and a 275-bed hotel.
RHWL is also the lead architect on two of the blocks.
The site was formerly a 19th Century industrial complex. The masterplan calls for the preservation of the character of the existing buildings while allowing for contemporary insertions. One is a new office complex that rises slightly above the current building line, providing a focal point at the corner of Caledonia Street, Caledonian Road and Balfe Street.
